Host A Valentine’s Day Crafternoon

It’s hard to believe, but it’s almost Valentine’s Day already! Rather than send your kids to schools armed with pre-printed cards for classmates, why not let them make their own? Or better yet, invite a few friends over and host a Valentine’s Day Crafternoon.

Pull out the glitter, stickers, markers, paper and other crafting supplies and let the kids get creative by making cards and crafts for friends and family.

Of course, you need plenty of sweet treats ready for snack time!  I used a heart-shaped cookie cutter to make these fruit kabobs and cheese tray.

Grab some cute little favor bags at Michael’s to use for popcorn.

We also had chocolate covered strawberries and pretzels.

And cupcakes of course…

Journey helped me make everything, including these adorable (and yummy) heart-shaped apple pies.

After snacks and plenty of playtime, Journey’s friends left with bags for them to take home their cards and crafts.  We made them by cutting out hearts and gluing them to the front of the bags.

We had so much fun that Journey is already asking about hosting another crafternoon soon.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Be Inspired,
