Heading into February with a plan for how I will take care of my mental, physical, and emotional health this month. I am more intentional about caring for myself when I have thought about what I need based on how I feel and my goals for the month❤️

This version of my pear cobbler is more cakey than crusty but just as good. Here’s the recipe...

Ingredients:
🍐8 ripe pears
🍐1.5 cups flour
🍐1cup sugar
🍐4 teaspoons baking powder
🍐1.5 cups milk
🍐1 teaspoon vanilla flavor
🍐6 tablespoons butter
🍐Nutmeg, cinnamon, and ground ginger to taste
🍐Pinch of salt

Directions:
-Peel and slice the pears then add them to a bowl and toss them with nutmeg, cinnamon, ground ginger, honey, and vanilla.
-Add the butter to a baking dish and melt in oven.
-In another bowl add the flour, sugar, baking powder and milk. Mix until combined. Then pour the batter evenly over melted butter. Do not stir!
-Pour the pears evenly over the batter. Bake at 350 degrees for about 50 minutes until golden brown.
-Serve warm and top with your favorite ice cream!

Let’s commit to leaving all behavior that blocks success behind us including…

1. Overthinking
Practice rephrasing your negative stories like “I can’t” or “I’m not good at” with positive statements, and it will change your life.

2. Doing it all alone
Yes you can do anything but you can’t do everything. Whether you were taught to be independent, strong, or to push through asking for help is not a sign of weakness. So ask for help when you need it!

3. The need to fill every moment with something
Re-evaluate your to-do list and appreciate progress more than completion.

4. Self-sabotage
Self-sabotage can look like procrastination, perfectionism, negative self-talk, or poor health habits. Identify your hiding places and make a plan to address them.

5. Not getting enough rest
Acknowledge how vital rest is to your well-being. When you start to make sleep a priority, you are less likely to stay up late working, cleaning, watching tv, or scrolling social media.

6.Fear of failing
When you feel it step up to the challenge rather than let it paralyze you. This doesn’t mean that you won’t feel scared, it just means that you don’t allow it to stop you from moving forward.
