About our guest…

Dr. Bianca Busch

Dr. Bianca Busch, Founder, The College Psychiatrist

Dr. Bianca Busch is the founder of The College Psychiatrist (TCP), a mental health practice dedicated to transforming the landscape of college student mental healthcare. With a strong commitment to reshaping mental health support, Dr. Busch has positioned TCP as an example of innovation and inclusivity in the mental health sector.

Dr. Busch offers a holistic approach to mental health care with training in adult psychiatry from the University of Chicago and child psychiatry from Harvard’s Boston Children’s Hospital. She understands that medication may be helpful for some patients and offers conservative medication management, prioritizing patient preferences and prescribing doses that work for their unique care. Dr. Busch is trained in various therapeutic modalities, including psychodynamic psychotherapy and cognitive behavioral therapies (CBT), to address a wide range of concerns such as anxiety, depression, OCD, and insomnia.

At TCP, Dr. Busch leads with a vision for more meaningful mental healthcare, challenging the brief and segmented approach common in the field. She aims to provide college students with a supportive environment for growth while offering practitioners fulfilling work opportunities.

Driven by her personal experiences and unwavering commitment to supporting college students through their most vulnerable moments, Dr. Busch’s mission with TCP is clear: to provide compassionate, evidence-based care that empowers college students to overcome mental health challenges and thrive academically, personally, and emotionally. Her dedication to diversity, inclusion, and developmental perspective ensures that TCP offers tailored support that addresses the unique needs of college students from all walks of life.
